16 Year Old Learner's Permit

For students who are 16 years old, the driving school must first obtain a Special Learner's Permit. All driving skills are covered from general orientation to highway driving.

If a student is in need of a written test, the driving school must first obtain a permit from NJDMV. After a permit has been purchased, the instructor must accompany a student to a motor vehicle agency to take the written test on their computer system. Upon successful completion of the written test and eye test, the lessons can then be scheduled. See "Favorite Links" tab for a study guide and on-line practice tests.

Students will receive 6 hours of Behind-the-Wheel instruction. Lessons begin in neighborhoods, then progress onto busier roads and intersections, and end with highway driving and parallel parking.
